So y'all...guess what??? Today I am comfortably wearing a pair of jeans that are a size 8. At the beginning of February...I was wearing a size 14. So that means that in just over two months I have gone down three pant sizes and lost right at 20 pounds. So what is the secret?? For me...it consists of four different things: 1) Faith in God and myself, 2) Being conscious of what I'm putting into my body, 3) Crossfit, and 4) An awesome support system. Thank you to Adam, my Crossfit teammates, and my family and friends for all of your help and encouragement over the last two months. Things are a lot easier to accomplish when you have people cheering you on every step of the way. So to each of you...I say thank you!! Now let's get to it...we have work to do!
I'm a mother of 3 with a crazy schedule, wasn't comfortable jumping right into a class. So decided to go 2 or 3 days a week with Adam being my personal trainer, I've never felt this great & actually stuck with any other workout. They both are very supportive, flexible, & at times painfully tough! Very great at motivation!! I just wanted 2 say thx 2 both of ya'll 4 helping me feel better & trying 2 reach my goal & I know I'll eventually reach it with ya'll as my personal trainer. . Adam I absolutely love CrossFit ya'll both are awesome!! :) Thx!!!
Well it is official, I am now off blood pressure meds!!! Adam Vinson at CrossFit Oneonta helped make this happen! Even when I thought there was no way I would be able to do that days WOD, I not only do it but finish it. Thanks guys for always being so encouraging and positive. With your extra push it has gotten me where I am today and I am ready to go further!! Oh and I have also lost 2 pant sizes.....YEA ME!!!!
When i was driving home i got to thinking about how spoiled i think we are at our little box. We've got two of the best coaches and best crossfit athletes there are as our coach in Adam Vinson. There are alot of boxes who don't have what we have and we've all gotten so much stronger, faster, fitter and just better because of them, because of each other, and because of what we're doing at CFO. We're all competitors and wish we could've done a few more reps today or gotten to that next set snatches or burpees but i thought back to what we could do and mostly could not do when we all started or even just a few weeks ago and then look at what we all did today, and do everyday, it's pretty amazing really. I'm just glad to be a part of it.
I started CrossFit in August of 2012 desperate to lose weight. That was my only objective. Now, I just want to nurish my body with the proper nutrients and push it to new limits so that I can see what it can do. I know that if I continue to CrossFit and eat Paleo, my 'dream body' will catch up! CrossFit has made me want to attack my weaknesses instead of run from them. When I first started, I couldn't even backsquat an empty bar properly! Now, I can backsquat 180lbs and deadlift 195lbs! In my wildest dreams, I never knew that my body would be doing the things it is today! CrossFit has not only made me stronger physically but mentally and even emotionally! There's just something about finishing a five round workout when you just wanted to give up after the first round! Conquering CrossFit workouts gives you the confidence to conquer ANYTHING in life! Adam has no idea how much he has blessed my life by opening CrossFit Oneonta and being the kind of trainers that never give up on you, even when you have given up on yourself. I had no idea that I would encounter such a life changing experience when I walked through the door on my first day. Who knew that a workout program called 'CrossFit' could change a life in such a dramatical way!
